Summary

McLarens is searching for an Office Manager in the Location area.  The Office Manager must possess the ability to handle clerical and administrative duties such as generating reports and communicating via phone and email and provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers. This position is temporarily remote and located in Dallas, Texas.  The Office Manager will be expected to manage multiple competing priorities and meet (sometimes short) deadlines with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. This position involves various responsibilities and requires flexibility and a willingness to take the initiative to learn business acumen and terminology.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of support staff
  • Ensure maximum branch productivity by effective management of office workflow
  • Manage office inventory supply levels and purchase all office supplies
  • Perform administrative duties and other claims administrative duties at the direction of the Regional Manager
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
  • Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.

 

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Human Resources preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant Office Management experience
  • Organized and able to prioritize; Ability to work with minimal supervision once trained
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe, Outlook, and Teams
  • Some experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry preferred
  • Strong verbal, grammar, and written communication skills

 

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. (Regularly).
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. (office & hybrid roles). (Occasionally).
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. (Regularly).
