Summary
The Executive General Adjuster must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision handling larger and/or complex commercial property claims in excess of $2,500,000.00 in a prompt, equitable and professional manner. An EGA must have the ability to engage and direct experts of all disciplines, analyzes coverage and report accurate estimates of damage while managing all damage components of the loss. An EGA negotiates settlement to the conclusion of assigned claims. An EGA must also engage and manage assist adjusters should filed assistance be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine claims forms, policies, client instructions and other records to assist their client in determining coverage.
- Reviews complex financial data, inventories, contracts, quotes, estimates and other documents and apply sound adjusting techniques to determine loss amounts as covered by the applicable policy.
- Prepares estimates of damage and other documents and explain the loss.
- Prepares reports by collecting and summarizing information required by client, local, state and federal government and by McLarens.
- Experience in Effectively Managing Multiple Insurer & Multiple Layered Property Insurance Programs.
- Some experience in the management of an assisting team or individual adjusters.
- Controls claim costs.
- Recommends litigation or subrogation when appropriate.
- Successful track record in developing new business and market opportunities.
- Ability to develop accounts.
- Provide training and mentoring to next generation of adjusters.
- Maintains company reputation and insurance product integrity by complying with federal and, state regulations and corporate quality standards.
- Will carry the appropriate licenses as required by the various state Departments of Insurance (DOI).
- Should have the ability to generate $1,000,000.00 in personal and production in revenue.
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of the independent claims adjusting business.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Xactimate skills to write an estimate to $750,000.00

- Ability to plan and prioritize.
- Potentially significant travel required.
- Promotion period once per year to begin the 1st of each fiscal year.
Qualifications
- Required: 10+ years of complex claims adjusting experience.
- Required: National claims experience.
- Required: 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
- Required: Appropriate state adjuster license/s.
- Required: Handled complex losses, including losses up to and in excess of $2.5 million.
- Corporate review of qualifications from Senior management.
